Text and files handled by the tool
Line Counter counts text in the current browser page. Text that you type or paste is used to calculate the visible result, and supported TXT, Markdown, CSV, JSON, LOG, or HTML files are read locally through the browser File API.
The normal line-counting workflow does not require the text body or selected file to be uploaded to a Line Counter server. The page does not create an account or a text history for this tool.
Analytics and contact messages
The site includes Microsoft Clarity to understand general page usage, such as device information and interaction patterns. This analytics service may use its own browser technologies. It is not needed to calculate your line count.
If you email support, we receive the address and message details that you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request and do not ask you to include private text from the tool.
Your choices and responsibilities
You can clear the editor after use, avoid entering information you are not allowed to process, and manage browser permissions, storage, extensions, and analytics controls through your browser or device settings.
No web page can control clipboard history, screenshots, shared-device access, browser extensions, or the privacy practices of external services. Use the tool only with content you are permitted to handle.
